Beneful is a horrible dog food. A dog nutritionist told me that the cheap supermarket foods are basted in sugar, the dogs get addicted to the sugar and the sweet taste, just like kids with sugar cereal. So that when you try and change them to a good food, they don't want to eat it because there is no sweet taste.
