I can never seem to feed my dogs the same amount all the time. I feed what I think is enough, then depending on how many treats, how much training, the weather and even the alignment of the moon and stars (just kidding), I end up eyeballing them and adjust the amount depending on how they look. It's easier with my other short coated dogs than with Lizzy, but I still adjust what she gets regularly.
When I was feeding NV raw, I was giving my 12lb dog 3 medallions 2x/day and it didn't look like enough either, but she gained weight. I've also been told that you shouldn't feed kibble and raw food at the same time, or meal, because of the way the two are digested or else its the rate that they are digested. Something like that, but I don't know if that's true or not.
