Nearest dog shows are in Orlando. But I don't travel well at all and rarely leave the house -except for doctor visits and a trip to the commissary once a month. I don't drive. Haven't been able to since 2005. I have RA.

Beamer isn't a show Yorkie, but I still want to minimize the hair loss, maximize the hair growth and sheen. And I am willing to invest the money in his grooming tools. I am a big believer in "you get what you pay for"

I don't quite know how to tell the type of coat Beamer has. He is two years old. I do brush him every day and he does love being brushed.
I have a groomer that comes to the house and bathes him for me regularly.
I'm sorry to hear that, are you easily able to manipulate the brush you have? One place my RA is is in my wrists and the shape and thickness of the handle is important for me when I try to use the brush.

There is another thread on here that talked a lot about the brushes, I'll see if I can find it. I like the Chris Christensen pin brush.

I think alaskanyorkie put up a video of his two yorkies one a cotton coat one a silk, to show difference. Quite a funny video.
