Update This morning Bella let me know that it is the potty pad/potty pan she refuses to use. I got her up and took her straight to her potty pan- no love, hugs and kisses. She wouldn't use it and cried and whined and did everything she could to get out of it. I had to run my daughter to the boat and took Bella into the bathroom with me so I could keep my eye on her while I threw my clothes on and she started peeing on the floor straight away. I said NO! firmly and picked her up but she kept peeing. I have cleaned the area and soaked it with Natures Miracle. I put her in her crate and ignored her. She is in there sleeping now.
Here is my question now. I have an xpen coming and I have her crate. Which is the better way to train a dog? I worry that in the xpen she will find a place to potty other then her pad. If I use the crate and she has to stay in it when she won't do what she needs to do, will she end up angry and have behavior problems or will she get a clue and do what I want her to do?
Thanks! |
