Definitely worth it. The handle is great for picking your dog up out of the water. The flotation of the vest will help the dog's body stay level on the water, so that the dog utilizes both front and rear paws equally. It should keep the nose up out of the water and is an additional safety feature should your dog get all tuckered out away from shore.
