I had suggested that someone else carry the baby into the house already and I like your idea about the blanket. When I introduced robby to trixie (thats my dogs name too) my daughter held the puppy and trixie sniffed him. She was very excited at the smell of him and started to nip at him. after a few more quiet introductions they can walk round my kitchen floor unleashed and if tixie misbehaves one word from me sorts it out. but I have to say she can be a bit sneaky and quick a baby is very venerable. Rocky is ok when children visit my friends house but he can get fedup very quickly so he generally goes to his bed and sleeps. he like many yorkies likes older children he loves my daughter I think is because she makes a fuss of him when we've looked after him while my friend goes on holiday. he's not so keen on my son who's only 5 however trixie and my son are the best of friends and trixie isn't interested in my daughter. I don't know what robby will be like yet just have to wait a see but one things for sure I am mum to them all even rocky
I will tell my friend about the forum and she will look it up
