Also the Yorkshire Terrier was said to have originated from breeding several types of terriers that were brought from Scotland to Yorkshire - so the Scottish connection in your baby's name is good.
I am originally from Lancashire - just over the border from Yorkshire. (We sometimes still fight "The Wars of the Roses" with my Yorkshire cousins)
