.....you make many assumptions about this particular family.... you assume that they have told people nicely first before putting the sign up. and you assume that this person is a pet owner, and you also assume that he takes pride in his environment. the reality is we don't know any of this. i asked the op for some clarifications, you can read post #59 where she responds. she has not seen poop in this person's yard or dead grass or anything like that.
we don't know the whole story, but the fact is
there is an unsightly sign being put up.
that is all we know for sure.
and according to the OP, there is a common area where poppy bags are provided with trash can available 30 feet away. and also that it doesn't seem to be a problem in her neighborhood. she doesn't encounter a lot of poop being left on people's lawns.
i am not saying it's ok for people to leave poop in others yard because it is not ok, i am just saying the sign is ugly, and i don't know who it's directed at, and i doubt the effectiveness of it.
