A toddler and a dog are two different things and really shouldn't be compared! Thats like apples and oranges.

It may not be safe and I know I shouldn't do it but sometimes you do things you shouldn't do I guess. I like to tie their leashes to the headrest so they lay down on the passenger side, or they ride in the back. I just really don't have the room for a dog car seat. We're trying to buy an SUV so we can put them in the crate in the back for driving.
