Dogs are not capable of faking being sick. If I were you I would keep that appointment today and not put it off until Monday. The panting would indicate pain and is most likely associated with the lose of use of her front legs. It might be a problem with a disk in her back.
Please try to call the vet back and take her now-today. If her symptoms were to return after hours you will be again stuck in an emergency situation. Please keep us posted.
