Oh, I am so sorry! I hope he mends well. How did he have to have surgery?
Don't worry about his coat - clearing tan or texture. If he is a pet and not going to be shown, he is so cute, and his coat/color does not really matter. I have a three legged cat that as a kitten got up into the car hood and we did not know it. She had torn muscles and would never be able to use it again. She gets a long great and even can climb trees. My best wishes to your baby and sending prayers he feels better soon.
