I agree, not a fan of belly bands, especially for dogs neutered young.
To the OP: I have 2 males, neutered at 6-7 months. Neither one marks inside houses, stores, or anywhere inappropriate.
Max will mark outside. Even then, all I have to do is say "no potty" if I don't want him to mark something like a mailbox post.
