He looks the way he is since he is a soft cotton coatted yorkie. My guess is that he will break to a tan (no reflection shine to coat), but you will have to wait 6 months to another year. He also has the black hairs around his muzzle which is also another indication he will break later, if he breaks. Again, I feel that he will break but you will have to wait. He will not have the silky coat texture ever, but since he is a pet, that is fine. He is cute and yes will look like a puppy for most his life. :-)
