Welcome and congratulations on your new pup. Yorkies ears are suppose to stand up. As they are teething they can go up and down, so to help this we shave the hair off the top half of the ears and tape them. Sticks are not good to use since pups can take off their tapes and get to the sticks and chew them. Here is a link to help:

Some ears do not stand no matter what you do, since their ear leather is too think or ears are too long. Just be prepared if your do not stand.
