Dr. Bonner's for dental care I have had it with dog tooth paste! Even the Virbac Vanilla Mint doesn't really freshen breath. Do you think it really does anything to fight or break down tarter?
So today I broke out the BIG GUNS. I bought some of Dr. Bonner's all Natural Peppermint "Soap" (but you can use it as mouth wash and tooth paste, the ingredients is vegetable oil and essential oils).
Okay, so I added a drop of Dr. Bonner's Peppermint Castile Soap in about three tablespoons of water in a bottom of a glass and then put a little bit of baking soda on a saucer. I did the dogs one at a time, and dipped their tooth brush in the "soapy" water and then put a tiny bit of baking soda on it.
The dogs didn't seem to appreciate my enthusiasm, but their breath smelled minty fresh (well, more of a neutral smell with slight hint of mint). All and all I was VERY impressed!
Don't worry, I tried using it on myself before I tried it on them! |
