Pineapple is generally considered to be a healthy fruit - I don't know any animal that will be harmed by pineapple, except if it's thrown! Just keep an eye on them to make sure they don't put on any unhealthy weight.
What food are you feeding that you are having such trouble getting them to eat it? |
Let's see, first he was fed Iams...but he had a lot of allergies so I changed him to Avoderm and then he started eating his poop so I changed it again to ...I forgot what it was called, then eventually to a local brand called Maei (pronounced May-I). They finally started eating the kibbles without needing coaxing but then I guess they started to get bored of the taste so stopped eating. Then I started putting a bit of warm water in it...which got them to eat again, but then soon, they stopped eating again. Then I sprinkled little bits of their favorite treats in their food...then they started eating again!! Then they stopped............yes, this is never ending. Finally.....I tried the pineapple because Lillie started to eat her poop at night when she was left alone! But then she stopped eating her poop and continued to eat the pineapple....
So far...no unhealthy weight...or funny stools....everything seems fine. Maybe it's okay to continue to feed the pineapple. lol
