No, being a war vet does not excuse his behavior, but I cannot judge him. I cannot begin to understand what our military must go through when they come home from war, and we all have a breaking point. I think he showed remorse, and I do think being a soldier deserves some compassion. I hope he gets the help he needs so there is not a next time with animal or human.
