On this note I would recommend the blanket is a great idea and introduce the baby to the former baby outside on neutrel grounds. But let the dog get used to the baby stuff, get the scent and yes be cautious. I will admit my westie Trixie did grab my last sons bootie as it waved near her. But that was all she did from that point on she would go and lay under the crib when he slept as if to dare someone to disturb Luke. But the pup needs to know they are still an important member of the pack
