How young is too young to get them clipped?
I know they will be worn down once she starts going outside for walks but this is not for a while yet as she is only having her first needle tomorrow.
Also when I first got her I noticed she was shaking her head and scratching her ears a lot, the vet said they were waxy so I got some cleaning drops and have used them twice and cleaned the dark wax that comes out with a ball of damp cotten wool.
That was a week ago and she dosnt seem to be shaking her head as much and her ears look cleaner but I was wondering how often I should do it?
Thanks |
I begin clipping pup nails at a week of age, for the sake of mom.....their little nails are needle sharp. I use cat clippers. At this age their little nails will grow at a faster rate, so maybe by tipping them weekly will help keep them in check.
You're pup shaking it's head and you obtaining dark wax could be the sign of an ear infection. Cleaning ears with a good cleaner with a drying agent should be done with every bath. The last thing you do before drying.
