I think the Large/My Buddy size would be great for Jackson, especially since there is a good chance he might end up with a sibling in the future.
I have this size and it comfortably fits my 12 and 9 lb girls, and I think we could easily fit one more more "normal" sized pup one day too.

I have these to go with our carseat, and I really like them. They are great for pit stops too.

The other really nice thing is that when we travel with the girls we just tuck these in our luggage and then just attach a seatbelt through the loop in the back when we get the rental car.
