Hi, congratulations on getting your new puppy, how exciting! I've got a metal ex-pen and a soft side w//screen mesh top (found it on ebay). I use both for different times but, if I were to have only one, it would be the soft side one - it's lighter weight, doesn't scratch floors and I like the enclosed top.
Puppia is a good harness and is adjustable somewhat. For a puppy you'll probably have to get an xsmall for now, (or smaller depending upon your pups girth size) and will have to buy another once she is an adult.
