Day 44..still need to shave the belly (doing that this weekend). She was kinda bending backwards with her front legs flopped to the side.
Her appointment to get x-rays is Tuesday. The vet doesnt want to go past day 50 for x-rays unless medically necessary. Hubby wants to take off work to go to her appt too (isnt that sweet?). Men are such softies sometimes, but I'm a little jealous cuz when I had my last baby he didnt go to any appts-not even one..I see where I rank in this family
. Actually he was younger and men get softer with age. I think I'll forgive him.
Anyway, she's a lot fuller in today than when I took the pic yesterday. Her weight now is 6.2 or 6.4 lbs (i dont remember which). I also think I heard 3 faint fast heartbeats, but we'll see if it correlates with the x-ray.
I'm working on her whelping box and will have it finished this weekend. Its gonna be adorable. I'm using a 2 door crate, making a cover, bumper pads, heat source, etc. It will be totally puppy proofed and cozy for momma. She hasnt used a crate since she was a pup, but hopefully I can disguise it and she wont know its a crate. I'll post pics of it as well.
