From eHow: Rarely, dogs can be sensitive to neomycin (an ingredient in Tresaderm) and will show redness and swelling of the treated area for a day or two.
The itching had started before the Tresaderm which was for the yeast infec. in her ears. We just got back from the vet. Her ears are much better. We finished day 7 of the Tresaderm yesterday. We take 7 days off then another 7 days. He let me look in her ears and they were pink, he said last wed they were black The itching is allergies, he couldn't say if it was contact or food, the food is the only change in the last 5-6 weeks. I don't let my babies outside, we have to much wildlife, mushrooms and hazards IMO it just isn't worth it. Vet said it could very well be the food since that is the only thing I have changed in the last few weeks. He gave her an injection of Depo Medrol and Baytril. and Hydroxyzine to use as needed for itching. She is resting comfortably on my lap right now, so hopefully this shot will help her. Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts.
