! Your quick thinking and action probably saved his little life -- bc even if the Heimlich didn't dislodge it, the action may have moved it just enough for it to move and be swallowed. I agree, doing the Heimlich is very scary, isn't it? You have to do it way harder than you think to get a strong *forceful* whoosh of air.
