I came across that while researching shampoos. I had always ran their baths a little cooler, mainly because they liked it better. Now I know why. I also found out that human shampoos vary widely in PH and some are perfectly acceptable for dogs, while some have such a low PH they shouldn't be used for humans even. There's also been some research on the PH levels among breeds and the GSD has the highest known PH among dogs. They are also known for skin issues, likely due to incorrect shampoos. In all cases, human and dog, a shampoo that is sls and als free is a better choice as both these ingredients are known irritants.
