First and foremost, to answer your question. You need to have her xrayed around day 55. This will give you and your vet a good indication as to what size the pups appear to be and if a c-section will likely be needed.

Secondly, I don't understand how you could let this happen. You've posted about having problems with them before trying to mate...and stated then that you were going to have the male fixed.

I'm confused as to how you could allow their behavior to continue rather than taking the proper precautions to ensure the health and well being of your dogs? No, sadly, your female's well being is at risk--SHE is the one that will have to pay the price for your "oversight."
