The surgery went well last night. My fiance and I were really nervous before the surgery. Our vet is great and we trust Sandy's in good hands. We were told to come back after an hour. My baby's next to me now and he's still trying to get used to the cast - he was biting it in the morning. I hope the pain will go away soon. I really miss the happy, jumpy little Sandy. We were warned that it won't be easy to keep him from running and jumping while he's recovering. |
I am so sorry your baby broke his leg. I know how hard the recovery can be. My Jersey Boy broke his front leg in Nov when he was 9 mos old. It was tough keeping him confined but it all worked out . Recovery was about 6 weeks and then slowly building up his strength in the leg. (he would have ran after the 1st week). If you saw him now running and jumping you would never know.
