Lady has been on Zyrtec for many years, back before it was popular to prescribe it for dogs. (And when it wasn't generic and cost $85 a bottle!) My vet had to call the NC State Vet school for a recommendation for a non-drowsy antihistamine that was safe for a dog with a laundry list of health issues who was already on many medications. She has had no side effects after all these years. Her dosage is 1/4 pill. She is close to 8 pounds. |
