This is an interesting thread. I've recently tried Benadryl for Cooper and it did absolutely nothing. We just switched over to children's Zyrtec 2 days ago. I was instructed to give him 2.5ml per day or 5ml if that didn't work. It seems to be clearing up his runny nose a lot better than Benadryl but I think it's still too early to tell.

Last night we gave him 3ml. It doesn't seem to make him tired at all either and I believe most of his allergy symptoms have stopped.

Cooper is 9 pounds. I thought 5ml sounded like a lot because that's an actual children's dose i believe.
