That is exactly what happened to me too..NOTHING would run. Everytime I tried to do something I got an error that it was infected...even when I tried to reboot my laptop, it said "logon" was infected. It was awful. It just cancelled or shutdown everything I did. When I shut the laptop down, rebooted in "Safe Mode" (runs only minimal Windows functionality) and followed the instructions on that website, it stopped that virus from running and removed it.

A trojan appears to run as a normal program but then allows unauthorized access to your computer. It can allow hackers remote access to your computer. It doesn't always disrupt you working on your computer...but is doing things that are bad behind the scenes.

AV Security Suite looked like a legit program and was telling me my entire computer was infected. It was prompting me to enter my credit card to activate it so it could remove all the "viruses" (which didn't exist -- IT was the virus!)
