The site above also suggests keeping software and Windows updates current. I don't have my laptop on all the time, so I think I sometimes skip the automatic updates.
Well - my problem was way worse - nothing worked until I went thru a long process with Matt on the phone - he tried everything and I followed his instructions and that particular program is gone - but I still have a trojan in my memory but we didn't address that one last night because the other one was what we focused on
