The same happened with Maxie and Mikki. Maxie was neutered for about a year and Mikki had her first heat when they tied. I was freaking out like you but also learned that a neutered male can still tie but there is no sperm and ergo no puppies... Mikki had a false pregnancy though...
To cheer you up: the whole thing happened of course when we had guests over and my husband held the two culprits on his lab so Maxie, who is twice the size of Mikki wouldn't hurt the little slut. I was frantically rubing ice cubes around Maxie's belly to get his swelling down and he just laid there in dh's arm with the dirtiest grin on his face... my guests (who luckily have bred dogs in the past) were hysterical as you can imagine... |
