I posted to you on the other thread ideas for possibly making car rides more enjoyable. Personally, I prefer to leave sedatives as a last resort, but many people here have used them with great success, including exhibitors. There is a thread in this section about Rescue Remedy.
Another thought for the car -- is Diamond sitting in the sun? Even with a/c, sitting in the sun can be hot. If you don't have tinted windows, consider getting the shades with suction cups for the windows that may affect where your dog is sitting.
What kind of car seat do you use? Or do you use a crate in the car?
For anxiety/excitement around people, more socialization. That is what I'm working on with my boys. |
