Thanks for your help! You are right on the money! Now that Im thinking about it she does do better with "bella". Well then, we are going to try this and see how she does. It could be that she is so quick to learn other things Im expecting to much from our little darling lol. Thanks again!

Isabella is a beautiful name, but the number of syllables may be the problem with your pup learning her name. I have read that dog names ideally should be 2 syllables and they should not sound like command words. There are also some letter combinations that appeal more to a dog's ear.

Say the name whenever you greet your pup or touch your pup. Tickle her chest and say something like, "Isabella, my puppy, my sweetie pie, Isabella..." and so on.
