Question Acting different after we returned from vacation - is he sick??

We just got back from vacation after being gone for a week, and Rocco seems out of sorts. It almost seems like he's too quiet, and he is not eating much (although the weather has been HOT!), and isn't really playing as much. He still loves his walks, and is very happy to see us if we leave for a while, but is not as active as he was. His gums, eyes and tongue are normal pink, his bowel movements are pretty normal (just 1 or 2 "softies", not diarrhea), his skin is healthy and unbitten, his ears are good and clean. Could it just be that he's acclimating to us returning, or maybe he was a little "mad" at us? While we were gone, he was boarded at a place that he's groomed at and he's been to about 4 times for "daycare". He was only boarded from Saturday (7/3) to Wednesday morning (7/7), then my house/puppy sitter picked him up and was with him till we came home Saturday afternoon. Both said he did great. Sorry for the long post, but just want to cover what I can, and ANY help would be appreciated. I was thinking of bringing him to the vet, but there's really nothing specific to bring him for since he's not sick. Any ideas?

OH, and one more thing. When I sent him for boarding, I supplied cooked chopped chicken to be used in case he wasn't eating the first day. I wrote instructions for her to add about 1tsp to his kibble if he needed encouragement to eat. Then when the sitter picked him up, she was told that he didn't eat a lot the past day because she ran out of chicken...??!! Apparently he needed it to eat while there.
