 Injured Puppy
Our little puppy, Zoey, was injured over the weekend (Saturday). While camping, her lead got tangled with our boxers lead when a stray dog came up. The boxer gave chase, and in doing so the puppy was thrown in the air. It was horrible. We were able to get her to the vet within 15 minutes. While she seemed paralyzed at first, she started moving after a few minutes. X-rays showed no breaks, no spinal cord damage, no esophogus damage. We were at the ER last night (Sunday) for vomiting. We feel so fortunate, but are still so worried. She was given an anti-inflammatory, and anti-nausea meds. She drinks a little, and this morning ate a few bites of soft food. According to the DR she is doing very well for the trauma she experienced, but she is just so tiny (3.5 pounds). I worry. |
