Ellie's distemper titer seems to be chronically low even a year after vaccination. So we were paying for something that told us to vaccinate her for it every other year when I definitely don't believe she needs it that often. We have stopped DHP entirely instead (but I would never tell somebody else they should do that for a healthy doggie). From the research I've seen, I'm okay doing this and her vet is fine with it. So, basically I don't think they give the whole picture, it seemed to be a waste of money for us, and I won't vaccinate her every year or two for this when I know she doesn't need to be even if a titer comes back low.
