Yeah I think it would be a good idea for your family to maybe meet you at the airport with their dog so they are meeting on nuteral ground instead of just bringing your dog straight into the house.
Then just take things slowly, dont force them on to one another let them get to know each other at their own pace.
But keep a close eye on them if the other dog has aggression issues and dont leave them alone together. Good luck.
