This is a great idea, if you can do it, since neutering isn't an option right now. If not the breeder, a friend you really trust?

As far as digestive issues, Addie went through one heat cycle when she was about 10 months old before her spay and she ate and pooped normal. But, there wasn't a male in the same household either.
