I'm also a total supporter in grain-free diets.
Currently, one of the best companies out there, in my opinion, is Champion Pet Foods. They make Orijen and Acana. Orijen has a puppy food, Acana grain-free is all life stages.
Also when feeding a better quality food, they are usually eating less food so you end up saving money anyways. Jackson eats 1/4 cup of Acana in the AM and 1/4 cup of Acana in the PM. So 1/2 cup total every day and he is 16lbs.
