It's an NSAID that has been associated with more deaths than other pain meds. I wouldn't say it's a bad drug, it just makes some people nervous. I just wanted you to know now b/c otherwise you will probably find the info on YT right after the surgery and get nervous about giving it (happens all the time her. lol). I'd give it after a spay if that's what the vet gave, but many wouldn't. So up to you... Some prefer Metacam and others, Tramadol (but Tramadol isn't an anti-inflammatory). then there is buprenorphine, Fentanyl if pup is big enough, etc. Could just let the vet decide...
