When Sully was just 12 weeks old, we put a bark collar (not a "shocking" one) on his neck anytime we left the house because he used to bark at every noise and annoy the neighbors. Anyway, the collar cost us $50 and it's the best fifty bucks we ever spent b/c now we don't even have to use it anymore. He barks but only when he's excited and when we're home. He has really learned well. Plus, when he was little and he'd bark when in the kennel we'd never give in WHILE he was barking and let him out. We never wanted to teach him rewards for behaviour like that. Anywho, if you're interested in a collar like we got let me know I can probably find you the link b/c we bought it online. |
