I've been using these for 3 years and I always put a cup of vinegar in the water when I wash. It really does help to keep them smelling pretty fresh. I wash 3 or 4 together on large load so there is plenty of water to clean them. But if you put your nose close and sniff, you can still detect a hint of urine. I don't notice it in the room where I keep them though.
By the way these have lasted a long time. I just sent an order last week for new ones. |

- I do use soap in the load in addition to the vinegar - the amount you would use for a large load.
