I appreciate all any any suggestions. I do have a front pack for her which would certainly make it easier to carry her around, but it is a soft pack and not enough support for her leg. However, it might be possible to put something of substance (wood, plexiglass) in the bottom under the zippered lining to give her more support. Thanks for that, V, it sure would make it easier to have two hands free!

Any other ideas?
