What kind of clip are you using? Joey's breeder said that it wasn't from leaving the band in the hair too long, it was because the band was too tight, or in other words too close to the scalp. She recommended placing a metal comb between the band and the scalp to loosen it band. She said that she saw one case where the scalp was black, meaning the skin had died, and in that case hair will not grow back, but my guess is the hair will grow back since this hasn't been happening for too long. Remember also to cut the band out, so that you will not pull hair. I leave Joey's topknot in all the time, and he has no hair loss, but I don't keep it tight.
