Mine have their own special nursery/playroom. They start in xpens about 6 weeks and work on pad training, etc. When they're closer to 8-9 weeks they start getting out to play in the whole playroom and I work on socializing them more. I do not give them free run of the house until after they have completed ALL their puppy shots and are a little bigger. Usually by that time all or most have gone to their forever homes (by 16 weeks or so), and if there is one or two left they then get free run during the day in the house with my adults. They are too young at this age to understand boundaries. Training needs to start in small spaces and work up as they grow and master each area. |
