I would think that removing the tail now would be a bit traumatic. She has been using it for a while to express herself and I'm sure she would notice if it was gone. It would require major surgery to remove the tail. I think Sienna is still little and clumsy. With time she can adapt to being around her much bigger sister. Have you considered putting a bell on her when she's around the house? Kaji is 7 lbs, and about a foot tall, and to me he's tiny. Without the bell his paws, and little nubby tail have been accidentally stepped on.

Dew claws I think have more validity to being removed. I've seen way to many just dangling by a thread just waiting to get caught on something. I hear that those bleed quite a bit when they are ripped off. You can have the dew claws removed at the same time as her spay. I definitely wouldn't put her under now, especially since removing a dewclaw, or removing the tail isn't a life saving procedure. Just my opinion anyway.
