Hey, guys! You folks are the best at coming up with awesome ideas, so please help me with this problem!
Because of the surgery to mend her fractured growth plate, I have to keep my normally active and kooky 5 month old puppy Wosie VERY QUIET for at least 4 weeks, and limited movement for a total of 3 months. No running, jumping, playing, etc. WHAT am I to do?? She is going nuts, she is so bored. She has never been crated for any length of time outside of boarding, but now I have to crate her to restrict her movement. She will tolerate the crate for a little while, and that's not long. Since I got her from the hospital yesterday morning, she and I have been inseperable. I have been either holding her or she has been in a box at my side.
I think mainly I need help in the area of entertainment. She has a ton of chew toys which I only give her in small numbers, and if it looks like she is getting bored with one, I switch it out with another. But she wants to PLAY and doesn't understand why she has to be restricted of course. Any ideas? Thanks so much for any help you can give me!
Here's a pic of Wosie post-surgery. My husband has given her a new nickname-Baldy Butt!

Don't worry, I smacked him.
