If your house stays relatively cool then sticky leather shouldn't be a problem. I love big comfy leather couches (like they have at Starbucks), I could lounge on one all day!
If you do get a fabric couch I would recommend getting covers because then it makes it a lot easier to clean up. The downside for me with that is more laundry (ugh) and I generally don't like the look of couch covers. |

I don't know if the house we're thinking of moving to is hot or cool. My parents apt, where we currently are, stays very cool year round. I wear sweaters inside during the summer. The house doesn't have central air. My little bro who is moving with me already said no to leather couches.
