Yea leather is more expensive but I do think it lasts longer and is way easier to keep clean and not smelly. My Mom has had her leather living room set for over 10 yrs and it looks fabulous. It came from Lazyboy. You can always throw something on a leather couch if you don't like the feel of it but not with the microfiber one I just got. Like I said, wish I would have put the money into the leather. I will next time. And I have noticed when people post pictures here - a lot of them have leather.
